Polycrisis

n. ˈpɒl.iˌkraɪ.sɪs

The coincidence of multiple different dimensions of crisis at the same time, leading to unpredictable interactions that amplify the effect of each individual crisis factor

My research investigates the overlaps between work, technology and crisis. From the global production networks that underlie the development of Artificial Intelligence, to the self-organisation of platform and service workers, I try to understand how the crises of the 21st century are developing, where they might go next, and how ordinary people are asserting their ability to produce a different and better future. To do this I primarily draw on the theory of class composition and the method of workers’ inquiry to understand the ongoing dynamic reorganisation of capitalist social relations.
